Right off the bat, I’m going to say this is a strange film. I wanted to try some techniques that could only be done on the film itself, so I decided to entirely hand process the film as a negative, then do this thing called photogramming to make a positive. Photogramming is where you take stuff and put it on top of an unexposed strip of film and then expose it to light. It imprints the shadows of the stuff you put on it onto the film. What I did was I put the negative on top of the unexposed strip and then exposed it like that. This created a positive copy of the negative and allowed me to do some interesting things to it. That’s why this film looks kinda out of focus and really grainy. That also has to do with the fact that the projector I was using for the telecine was terrible and actually broke my film several times.
